SkyQuakes

If in your lifetime if you have heard a sonic boom you will likely remember it. The sound rains down from the sky surrounding you from all directions and since it was unexpected it may have made you jump. Between December 2, 1977 through January 1978 SkyQuakes harassed the east coast of the United States between Connecticut to South Carolina. Oftentimes the reports included visual aspects such as brilliant flashes in the sky. Witnesses reported broken windows and crockery and a scientist at the Lamont -Doherty and Palisades New York declared the power of the blasts equal to the energy of 100 tons of TNT. With the exception of a nuclear explosion there is no more powerful unexplained aerial event.
