The Hessdalen Valley in central Norway has been reporting strange lights in the sky since the 1930s. At their peak, the activity rate for UFOs was so high that they would have 15 to 20 occurrences per week. Eventually scientists decided the valley was worth studying and has had field investigations since 1983. They even built a lookout structure specifically for spotting UFOs.
