World UFO Day is recognized on two different dates for two different reasons. The first date celebrates the Kenneth Arnold UFO sightings of nine objects near Mount Rainier in Washington state. The second world UFO Day is recognized as the day a UFO crashed at Roswell New Mexico in 1947. Although both dates are extremely important in the annals of UFO history, there was an event that preceded them by 50 years that involved the crashed craft and an alien being. On April 17th, in 1897, the town of Aurora Texas was site of the first UFO crash in modern United States history. Not only did a ship crash, but an alien body was recovered which later died and was shortly thereafter buried in the local cemetery. There is far more to the story and you can find it HERE.
