For the last 70+ years the stigma attached with UFOs has been ugly. Those who witnessed UFOs and related events and decided to share their experience publicly were mocked or ridiculed, often to the point of leaving their jobs. Reporters were encouraged to stay away from the subject, and God help the pilot who filed a UFO report. Unfortunately this has been going on for far too long and it appears, however, that a change in attitude has begun. It is no longer shameful to witness and report a UFO, but rather exciting and enlightening and something of a privilege.
